1. Who we are
Studinotes (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online platform that lets registered users create, improve, trade and consume study notes and related audio files.
2. Creating an account
- Minimum age: 16 years (or the local age of digital consent).
- Required data: email and password.
- You’re responsible for safeguarding credentials and all activity on your account.
3. Using Studinotes
- You may create notes manually, with our AI tools (OpenAI models), or both.
- You may upload documents (PDF, .doc, .ppt) for summarisation.
- You may publish notes for free or sell them for credits or money; all payments run through Stripe.
- Credits are non-refundable except where required by law.
- You grant Studinotes a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and — solely to operate the service — adapt the content you upload.
- You must own the necessary rights in any material you publish or sell and comply with copyright rules, exam-security policies, and academic honesty rules.
Automatic top-up (automatic recharge)
- If you enable automatic top-up, you authorise Studinotes to automatically recharge your credit balance using your saved payment method when your balance falls below a threshold (currently 10 credits).
- Unless stated otherwise at checkout, we will recharge the same amount and use the same payment method as your last manual purchase of credits, without requiring you to re-enter your card details.
- You can enable or disable automatic top-up at any time in your account or billing settings; changes apply going forward and do not affect charges that have already been processed.
- You are responsible for keeping your payment method valid and for monitoring your balance and account activity. If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until the issue is resolved.
4. Marketplace rules
- Sellers must provide a public username.
- Your public profile shows your username, picture and the note packs you list.
- We may remove listings that infringe rights or violate these T&C.
5. Prohibited conduct
No unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, infringing, or fraudulent activity; no reverse-engineering, scraping, or bypassing security measures; no selling stolen or plagiarised notes.
6. Intellectual property
- Our software, branding, and site content are our IP.
- AI-generated note outputs belong to you subject to provider terms.
- You keep all rights to your own original material.
7. Availability & changes
The service is provided “as is”. We may change features, suspend, or terminate the service (including accounts) at any time with reasonable notice where feasible.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studinotes is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. In no case will our cumulative liability exceed the greater of (a) €100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.
9. Governing law
Unless local consumer law requires otherwise, these T&C are governed by French law and disputes are subject to the courts of Paris.
